Hex Rivet Bush
These fasteners are installed similarly to rivets and provide a strong, reliable, and reusable thread. A rivet bush, also known as a rivet nut or threaded insert, is a type of fastener used to create a threaded hole in thin or soft materials where traditional tapping is not feasible. Rivet bushes are commonly used in sheet metal, plastics, and composite materials.
The interior of a rivet bush is threaded, allowing bolts or screws to be inserted and tightened securely.
Knurled or Grooved Exterior: The exterior surface often has knurls, grooves, or splines to prevent rotation once installed, ensuring a secure fit.

Materials
Steel: Common for general applications due to its strength and durability.
Stainless Steel: Provides excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environments.
Aluminum: Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, ideal for applications where weight is a concern.
Brass: Offers good corrosion resistance and conductivity, often used in electrical applications.

Type
Round Rivet Bush: Standard type with a cylindrical shape.
Hexagonal Rivet Bush: Has a hexagonal exterior to prevent rotation in the workpiece.
Pre-Bulbed Rivet Bush: Designed to deform into a bulb shape during installation, providing enhanced grip in soft or brittle materials.

Applications
Automotive: Used in body panels, frames, and other components where secure, threaded connections are needed.
Aerospace: Common in aircraft construction for lightweight, high-strength threaded connections.
Electronics: Provides secure mounting points for circuit boards and electronic components.
Construction: Used in building facades, cladding, and other applications involving thin materials.
Furniture: Provides strong, threaded connections in flat-pack and assembled furniture.
